The number of cases registered against PTI protesters in Lahore has reached 22, with the party’s founder, Imran Khan, his sisters Aleema Khan and Azma Khan, and the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, among others in the party leadership named in these cases.
According to a report by ARY News, various police stations in Lahore have registered cases under anti-terrorism laws. Four cases have been registered at the Islam Pura and Shafiqabad police stations, while similar cases have also been filed at the Lari Adda and Masti Gate.
Additionally, 15 cases have been registered at police stations in Shahdara, Milt Park, Hunjrawal, and the Cantonment Division. The police stated that these cases were filed for violations of Section 144. At Hunjrawal police station, a case was registered against 20 PTI workers, and five workers were arrested during the protest.
At Milt Park police station, a case was filed against 10 workers on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Hafiz Imran. A case for protesting despite the ban and assaulting government employees was registered at Masti Gate police station, while a case regarding a clash between PTI-supporting lawyers and the police was filed at Islam Pura police station.
