Quetta: Sources said on Thursday that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman has asked the owner of a PSL team, Nadeem Omar, to meet with him to talk about promoting cricket in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi leader didn’t go to any other country’s leagues. Instead, he picked the Gladiators from the PSL. Which has become a big name in cricket after a few good seasons.
Sources say that Quetta Gladiators and the Saudi government will sign a deal tomorrow (June 16). They says Omar will put together the national team of the Gulf country, which will include Gladiators players.
The franchise will also be Saudi Arabia’s version of a local cricket league.
This deal will also help make the ties between the two countries stronger.
Former cricket players think it’s an honor that Saudi Arabia chose Pakistan’s Omar over some of the best players in the world.
