Webdesk: Google is adding a new tool for Android users called “auto-archive.”
The auto-archive tool automatically puts away apps on Android phones that aren’t used very often. With this feature, users will be able to free up space on their phones without having to uninstall apps totally.
Google says that the tool cuts the amount of space these apps use by 60%. Users will be able to keep the information that these apps store.
Users can see a cloud icon on top of the app icon if the tool has saved the app. If the user wants to use the app, he or she just has to tap the button again. The only requirement is that the app still be on the play store.
Android users will have to choose to use the new tool if they want it to work on its own. Users can also change how they want the tool to work.
