ISLAMABAD: Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, has promised to bring in good governance practises by letting statutory groups hold regular meetings and make decisions without being stopped.
He talked about how far the university has come in many areas, from new programmes to governance.
He also said that good governance and new ideas should be the university’s top priorities.
Dr. Niaz says that if these bodies work well, stakeholders will believe them. As well as the institution will be able to reach its goals more easily.
Afterward, Dr. Niaz Ahmed started working at the university, the budget and planning committee, the selection board, and the syndicate all met within three weeks.
Moreover, Dr. Niaz Ahmad is a well-known professor and scholar. He has a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Leeds in the UK. Over the years, he has held important jobs in science. He just started his job as vice-chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University.
Dr. Niaz said that the university’s biggest problems were making sure it could stay open financially and getting enough money to run it.
