Webdesk: Natalie Portman has put the ball in the court of Lucasfilm to bring her back to Star Wars as Padmé Amidala.
The 41-year-old actress responded to a fan’s question on Reddit about her character’s return to the sci-fi movie in GQ’s “Actually Me” series. “I have no information about this,” she said. “No one has ever asked me to come back, but I wouldn’t mind if they did.”
In other news, Damon Lindelof said that he was kicked out of the Star Wars world and that he did not leave on his own.
In an interview with Esquire, the director said, “I was in more than talks to join the Star Wars universe.”
“I joined the Star Wars universe and was then asked to leave.”
Before, Justin Britt-Gibson was asked to help the writer of Watchmen finish the script. But in February, the two of them quit the project.
But Lindelof said he would love to work on the science fiction series again if he had the chance.
“Should I wait in queue again outside the club to try to get back in? Of course.”
“If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again,” he said cheekily. “Or try again,” as Yoda might say.
