On The Howard Stern Show, the star of Citadel said, “It was a dark time.”
After she won the title of Miss World in 2000, she got more offers from Bollywood.
The Baywatch showed that she had surgery to get rid of a polyp in her nose after her doctor suggested it.
But the surgeon messed up the surgery, which cost her three films and got her fired.
The actor said that she thought her bright career was “over before it started.”
Chopra said, “This thing happens, and my face looks totally different. I fell into a very, very deep depression.”
Her father, who is a doctor, finally talked her into having surgery to fix the problem.
After that, she was able to “build back [her] confidence.”
The actor also thanked Anil Sharma, the movie director, for giving her the chance.
“When the odds were against me, he told me, ‘It will be a small part, but give it your all.'” And I did,” Chopra added.
