ISLAMABAD: China, Pakistan, and Iran have joined forces to combat terrorism for the first time.
The Foreign Office said on Thursday that the first Pakistan-China-Iran Trilateral Consultation Meeting on Counter-Terrorism and Security was held at director general level in Beijing on Wednesday.
Pakistan was led by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General (Counter Terrorism) Abdul Hameed.
The delegations discussed regional security, including terrorism. “Based on these consultations, the three sides have decided to institutionalize the trilateral consultations on counter-terrorism and security,” the Foreign Office stated during her weekly media conference.
“Further details will worked out in due course,” Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said.
