Webdesk: Bollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar may won Best Actress (Critics) at this year’s Filmfare Awards. India’s most prestigious film honours, but she still trolled for her fashion statements. However, the actor remains unfazed and admits that while she has always been willing to take risks. She only recently gained the “courage” to go all out with her fashion.
“This is exactly how I am in real life: bold and carefree. Over the past two years, I’ve met members of the [fashion] community who recognised this aspect of my personality, the 33-year-old told Hindustan Times.
She explained how these specialists “encouraged” her. “I’ve recently become much more at ease with myself. I now accept myself much more. All of this reflected in my appearances at events and red carpets that I attend. I have come to the realisation that I have always loved myself. I have always had confidence. Its a journey shared by all. Pednekar continued, “Today, I am more forthright and less inhibited when it comes to revealing who I truly am.”
However, experimentation is accompanied by fashion police. When asked if that bothers the actor, she responded, “Not at all.” Pednekar continued, “For me, fashion and beauty are extremely therapeutic. I would like to believe that my journey began during the lockdown when I began publishing beauty blogs and makeup videos. Previously, I was extremely anxious when I released my first video because I questioned whether this was something I should be doing. Then, however, it was so therapeutic for me, and I gained so much affection for it.”
