President of the United States Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that he is “extremely concerned” by recent events in Israel. He will not invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House in the near future.
“Like many passionate Israel supporters, I am quite concerned. During a visit to North Carolina, Biden told reporters. “I want them to get this right.” They cannot continue on this direction. I’ve made that fairly plain.”
Biden stated that he hopes Netanyahu will behave. “In such a way that he will attempt to reach a meaningful compromise.”
Biden responded, “not in the near future,” when asked if he will welcome Netanyahu to the White House.
Moreover, In response to a query on whether the United States interferes in Israel’s domestic affairs, he stated, “We do not interfere. They are aware of my position.”
Israeel is aware of America’s position. They are aware of the position of American Jews, he continued.
While, Netanyahu announced on Monday a temporary halt to the government’s controversial plans for judicial reform, in response to massive rallies in Israel over the past 12 weeks.
Moreover, Netanyahu, who is on trial for corruption, asserts that his initiatives will promote democracy and restore the proper balance between the legislative, executive, and judicial departments of government, but the opposition labels them a power grab.
