Webdesk: Over 500,000 of Doja Cat’s fans have stopped following her on Instagram, but that doesn’t bother her. She still has over 25.1 million followers.
Doja’s fans are leaving because of the scandal surrounding the singer’s relationship with J Cyrus, a streamer accused of emotional abuse by fans.
Cyrus apologised for what he had done, saying, “There is no reason or excuse for what I did. I wasn’t careful, wanted a lot. I didn’t know, didn’t show any respect.”
But Doja isn’t worried by fans’ concerts. She wrote on Instagram, “I don’t give an f— what you think about my personal life.”
Since then, she’s lost a lot of Instagram fans. But in response to fans’ mass unfollowing, the musician said in an Instagram story on Wednesday, “Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I defeated a big beast that’s been holding me down for so long.”
Doja has gotten angry with her friends more than once when they asked about her personal life.
She wrote in response to one of the comments on her post, “I’ve never given an f— what you think about me or my personal life, and I never will. “So long and farewell, you miserable scum, haha!”
