RAWALPINDI: Eight terrorists killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan on Saturday. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR claimed in a statement that an intense fire exchange occurred between security personnel and terrorists. It was during the operation in the Zarmilan area, resulting in the killing of the militants.
However, two troops, Lance Naik Shoaib Ali, 25, of Kurram, and Sepoy Rafi Ullah, 22, of Lakki Marwat, embraced martyrdom after gallantly fighting.
The ISPR further stated that firearms and ammo also retrieved from the terrorists. “The terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens.”
The military’s media wing also stated that the area sanitization in process in order to eradicate any remaining militants.
“Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve,” it added.
