Islamabad: The PPP leader told the lawyers’ conference in Islamabad via video link on Monday that Pakistan’s Constitution requires elections within 90 days of an assembly’s dissolution.
As the government took away CJP Umar Ata Bandial’s authority to form benches and take suo motu notice under Article 184, the lawyers gathered in the federal capital to show their support (3).
Moreover, After the week-long hearing, CJP Bandial reserved the high-stakes verdict on Monday, which will be announced today (Tuesday).
For the fourth and fifth hearings, Judge Amin-ud-Din Khan and Justice Jamal Mandokhail recused themselves.
Moreover, On March 31 and 3, the CJP, Judge Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, and Justice Munib Akhtar heard the case.
“CJP Bandial is standing firmly against the doctrine of necessity and his fellow judges support him in this cause for the sake of the Constitution,” added Aitzaz.
Moreover, He claimed the Sharif family’s dictation to a judge is on record. While, Former CJP Judge Muhammad Munir’s notion of necessity led to martial law.
Aitzaz said the Constitution requires elections in 90 days since the caretaker administration loses authority on the 91st. He claimed that Punjab and KP elections avoided.
He claimed that electoral security officials are working to prevent elections from taking place.
For the first time, the senior politician saw the Constitution not followed. He believes Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah will not let the Rangers defend the elections since the paratroopers are under him.
