KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Senator Faisal Subzwari said Thursday that his party intimidated to rejoin Imran Khan’s cabinet in March 2020.
The federal minister revealed he was a MQM worker whose three generations arrested and extrajudicial deaths occurred in his family.
While, Subzwari said his party forced to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government despite objections and unmet pledges.
He added that in December 2019, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui resigned from Khan’s government in protest. Negotiations between the PTI and the MQM-P lasted until March, when the MQM-P suddenly ordered to rejoin the cabinet.
Moreover, Subzwari claimed the party told those who ordered them that it could not rejoin the cabinet unless its demands addressed.
