An Israeli airstrike has destroyed Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, the last fully functional medical facility in Gaza City.
The intensive care and surgery units suffered severe damage, with eyewitnesses reporting flames and thick smoke pouring from the two-story building. Some patients were seen fleeing in panic, still wearing hospital gowns.
The Israeli military claimed the strike targeted a Hamas command center allegedly operating within the hospital. However, Gaza’s emergency services reported no immediate casualties.
In a separate attack on Deir al-Balah, at least 37 Palestinians, including six brothers, were killed.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the war has claimed over 50,000 lives. Local media estimates the death toll has surpassed 61,700, with many still trapped under the rubble.
