In a landmark event hosted by Pakistan, the Regional Chiefs of Defense Staff Conference was held in Islamabad, marking significant progress in regional security and military diplomacy. High-ranking military officials from the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan participated in this multilateral summit.
According to the ISPR, the conference aimed to enhance regional cooperation in defense, promote joint training programs, and facilitate the exchange of counter-terrorism expertise. Held under the theme “Strengthening Bonds, Securing Peace,” the conference focused on boosting regional harmony and strategic dialogue.
Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed the distinguished delegates, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace, stability, and constructive partnerships in the region. He emphasized that in an era of transnational threats and hybrid warfare, military collaboration and mutual trust are more vital than ever.
Discussions during the high-level talks addressed key strategic issues of South and Central Asia, joint training initiatives, counter-terrorism cooperation, and coordinated humanitarian responses during crises.
