Webdesk: Kate Middleton may choose a Coronation outfit from Princess Diana’s collection.
While, Ben Roberts, Clogau’s managing director and royal jewellery expert, says the historic event will feature jewels with deeper meaning.
“At such a prestigious event, attendees and members of the Royal Family will carefully select the very best of their jewellery collections to show off their sparkles. Whilst ensuring they keep within the dress code and royal tradition,” he told Express.co.uk.
He added that the 41-year-old Princess of Wales must have a different jewellery choice. Than the sapphire and diamond ring she received at her 2010 engagement to Prince William.
“Princess Catherine knows exactly how to add sparkle to her royal outfits with some of the Royal Family’s most iconic heirlooms. We expect to see several nods to Princess Diana,” he said.
“Morover, Ever-respectful Kate may want to include pieces from Princess Diana’s famed sapphire suite. Such as the diamond and sapphire pendant and earrings designed to match Diana’s (and later Kate’s) engagement ring.”
Ben said the pieces were a 1981 Saudi Royal Family wedding gift.
While, He suggested Kate may wear the late Queen’s favourite diadem at the Coronation.
Moreover, Ben said the Grand Duchess Vladimir Tiara, one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favourites, will be at Westminster Abbey.
“This dazzling tiara is a symbolic piece that Catherine, Princess of Wales, could wear beautifully to mark her new, more senior title and pay respects to the late Queen.”
