KARACHI: The IBCC has requested foreign boards to publish their policies on papers. Which cancelled last week due to instability in the country following the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan.
In a letter to the director of Cambridge International Assessment Education (CAIE) in Pakistan, regional development manager of Pearson, and manager of International Baccalaureate Organisation, IBCC Director Syed Ammar Hasan Gilani informed them that local and foreign boards had cancelled the May 10-12 exams due to security concerns.
Foreign boards have not updated their strategy for cancelled papers, but local boards have provided amended schedules for postponed papers.
The IBCC official asked international boards to explain their cancelled paper policies and offer a solution for private students.
“Kindly inform IBCC at the earliest” because concerned kids and parents have asked many questions.
The British Council stated that cancelled papers would not reprinted and will be average-marked.
