During a media talk in Gilgit, former Pakistani cricket captain Shahid Afridi said that if he truly had influence, he would already be the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
He highlighted a lack of match-winners in today’s team compared to his era and stressed the need for strong coaches at the grassroots level.
Afridi also criticized the politically driven appointments in PCB, saying changing faces doesn’t fix a flawed system. He emphasized that if he joins PCB, it would be to serve the country — not for a position or contract.
