Islamabad : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) extended its orders against IK’s arrest in more cases until May 31. This is the latest time that Imran Khan has given total relief by the country’s courts.
The news came up when the PTI’s request for details on all the cases brought against Khan was being heard. The PTI leader charged in more than 100 cases.
The federal government, which represented by the assistant attorney general for Pakistan, the advocate general for Pakistan, and the state counsel, asked the court for more time to explain the cases against the PTI leader.
The court agreed to their plea and put off the hearing until May 31.
On May 12, different courts of the IHC gave the former cricketer-turned-politician a blanket relief. This stopped the police from arresting him and put off his trial in the Toshakhana case until the second week of June.
The court also let the former prime minister out on bail in three terrorism cases filed against him in Lahore and the murder case of Zille Shah.

On the same day, Khan released on bail for two weeks in the Al-Qadir Trust case. The Supreme Court had said that his arrest “invalid and unlawful.” It meant that the PTI leader could not be arrested in any case filed in Islamabad after May 9 until May 17.
On Tuesday, May 9, paramilitary troops took Khan into custody at the IHC. This led to violent protests all over the country. The former prime minister quickly asked the court to let him go. But the court said it was legal to keep him in jail.
Since he kicked out of office last April, Khan blames the coalition government and the military for getting rid of him.
He said that top military and government officials planned to kill him at a rally in November, when he shot in the leg.
