ISLAMABAD: The Registrar’s Office of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) voiced objections to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s plea challenging his arrest warrants in the Toshakhana case on Friday.
According to the office of the registrar, the PTI leader’s biometric information is unavailable. How can the Supreme Court hear the same case on which it has previously rendered a verdict? Also, the office questioned.
The former prime minister appealed the Islamabad court’s decision to deny his request for the stay of his arrest warrants.
Khan, who has refused to leave his property in Lahore’s Zaman Park despite a court order requiring his presence. He filed the appeal through his solicitor Khawaja Haris.
In his petition, the PTI chairman demanded: “The undertaking should be accepted and the police should be stopped from arresting.”
The PTI leader also promised to appear in court in Islamabad tomorrow (Saturday) and urged the court to hear his appeal immediately.
