Islamabad: ISPR reported martyrdom of two soldiers. ISPR stated that they embraced martyrdom after an IED exploded on a vehicle of security forces. It happened in the vicinity of Bara, Khyber District.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that among the martyred there was Naib Subedar Hazrat Gul (age 37, resident of Lower Dir). As well as Sepoy Nazir Ullah Mehsud, age 34, resident of South Waziristan) sacrificed their lives during the incident.
The area is being sanitised to eliminate any terrorists in the vicinity, according to the statement released.
It also emphasised that Pakistan’s security forces determined to eradicate the terrorist threat. As well as the sacrifices of our soldiers strengthen our resolve.
In South Waziristan’s Shin Warsak region, eight terrorists, including a local commander, slain in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) earlier this week.
ISPR stated in a statement that the militants, including commander Jan Muhammad alias Chargh, killed in a firefight during the operation.
During the exchange of fire, however, 31-year-old Rawalpindi resident Sepoy Hamid Rasool fought valiantly and embraced martyrdom. ISPR also reported that four personnel, including two officers, injured.
