Tehran (International News) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian firmly declared that Iran would not engage in negotiations with the United States, stating, “Let America do whatever it wants.” He emphasized that Iran would not accept talks conducted under threats.
According to foreign news agencies, President Pezeshkian made the announcement during a meeting with business leaders, where he directly addressed U.S. President Donald Trump. He stated that the U.S. could not dictate terms or issue threats, and that he would not engage in dialogue under such conditions. “We will not accept negotiations conducted under threats,” he said.
This statement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump sent a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Friday, proposing talks regarding the nuclear deal. In his letter, Trump stated that there were two ways to deal with Iran: through military action or by striking a deal. He added that he preferred the latter, as he did not want to harm Iran.
Following Trump’s letter, the Iranian Supreme Leader also responded, saying that some countries, through their bullying tactics, prioritize imposing their demands over resolving issues through meaningful dialogue.
