Madhuri’s Marriage Broke Millions of Hearts, Including That of Jackie Shroff
Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Before tying the knot, Bollywood’s superhit actress Madhuri Dixit was often linked with several prominent stars. At times, she made headlines for her rumored affair with Sanjay Dutt, while at other times, speculations suggested that she was interested in marrying cricketer Ajay Jadeja.
However, following her marriage to Dr. Shriram Nene on October 17, 1999, such rumors came to an end. While this wedding left millions of fans heartbroken, one Bollywood star who was particularly saddened by it was Jackie Shroff.
According to Indian media reports, Jackie Shroff made a candid confession on Koffee with Karan Season 5. He revealed that although he wasn’t very comfortable sharing personal matters with his father, he couldn’t help but express his admiration for Madhuri Dixit.
During the rapid-fire round, Karan Johar asked Jackie Shroff which actress had broken the most hearts by getting married. Without hesitation, Jackie responded, “Definitely Maddy, Madhuri.” Karan then pressed further, asking whether he, too, was among those heartbroken. To this, Jackie replied, “No doubt! Whether you call it heartbreak or something else, for me, it was like an ‘Oof’ moment.”
