Siraj Ul Haq said it would be better if Shehbaz Sharif also received a trust vote from the people.
180 MNAs gave PM Shehbaz the NA trust vote.
Haq urged general elections to end the political turmoil and lead the country out of the quagmire. He is the one who helped bring the present administration and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to the table,
After Supreme Court rulings, the PDM-led government and PTI met today to discuss the vote schedule.
While, Both parties disclosed their top leadership’s positions in the first two-hour round of discussions in Parliament House’s Committee Room Number 3. Tomorrow’s second meeting.
Moreover, The JI emir told a journalist that both parties needed flexibility to negotiate.
“Parliament and the judiciary have met,” he remarked.
Haq said everyone interprets the Constitution individually. He said all constitutional, political, and economic crises affected the populace.
The JI leader emphasised that the election date must decided by all political parties.
He continued, “Election with consensus is the only solution [to the country’s crisis].
Haq stated, “Just like lawmakers, judges are also not on the same page,” and that politicians should decide instead of rushing.
The JI leader stated his party initially requested a full-court bench to hear the election matter.
Moreover, Haq stated the courts, establishment, and Election Commission of Pakistan should stay unbiased in elections.
While, The JI leader added that institutions did not follow the Constitution in the past, emphasising the necessity for free and fair elections. He maintained that his party has presented a roadmap in the SC about the elections.
