On June 22, the PTI sent Khattak a show-cause notice for urging party members to leave.

The warning further stated that if his response was unacceptable or he did not answer, party policy and procedures would apply.
Nowshera’s top leader hasn’t responded.
The ex-PTI regional president also claimed the May 9 attacks were part of a plot to defile the martyrs and discredit the army.
He added the former prime minister had not contacted the party’s leadership and only a few people.
He stated that a few employees with “revolutionary thinking” did more damage to the country than its foes in 75 years.
Khattak said, “I reject this revolutionary thinking,” adding that he believed in non-violence and peace. He denied disrespecting national institutions in politics.
He said he was consulting with former lawmakers from throughout the province to devise a plan to solve the country’s problems. Pervez Khattak stated revolutionary politics were unaffordable.
