ISLAMABAD: On Tuesday, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb spoke up to explain what Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif meant when he said that he had been the “apple of the eye” for the establishment for the past 30 years.
Aurangzeb told that Shehbaz was making fun of him when he called him the apple of the establishment’s eye.
She went on to say that after making that comment, Shehbaz added more clarity by saying. “If I’m the establishment’s favourite, then why locked up during Pervez Musharraf’s time in power?”
“Shehbaz Sharif’s daughters were taken to NAB courts when Bajwa was in charge,” she said.
Shehbaz’s comment got a lot of attention in the political world and from the media, which did everything they could to make it sound even worse.
