Webdesk: Ms. Marvel will die in the next comic book, which Marvel has already said.
In Spider-Man #26, which comes out on May 31, Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man save the world, and Ms. Marvel accepts her brave death.
The superhero, whose real name is Kamala Khan, is the first Muslim superhero in comics. Her own comic came out in 2014, and she also appeared in Captain Marvel in 2013.
The company has also decided to make a comic called Fallen Friend: The Death of Ms. Marvel, which will come out in July, as a tribute to the hero who is about to die.
“The heart of the Marvel Universe has stopped beating,” Marvel said in a press statement. “Now, join the other heroes of the Marvel Universe, the people who made Ms. Marvel, and comic fans everywhere in honouring and remembering one of Marvel’s brightest stars.”
Many fans were shocked by the news, since Ms. Marvel is going to be in The Marvels, which is coming out in November.
Fans were upset on social media about the choice to kill off Marvel’s only Muslim superhero.
“A white American male comic book writer killed off a brown female Muslim character in a comic book about white characters for no real reason other than a Fridged trope. One fan said, “He killed Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan to get Peter Parker Spider-Man going.”
Someone else said, “Zeb Wells killed Ms. Marvel.”
Before I leave, I think we should change our name to honour Kamala. “Rest in peace, Ms. Marvel. You didn’t deserve this at all…” said a third.
