Webdesk: Two privacy breaches plagued Preity Zinta this week. She described how an unknown woman “scooped and kissed” her daughter Gia in a garden. As well as wheelchair-bound man demanded money and got hostile when given some but not enough.
Saturday’s Instagram post highlighted Preity’s interactions. Two happenings this week shook me. My daughter Gia photographed. “When we politely asked her not to, she walked away, but then suddenly scooped my daughter in her arms, planted a big wet kiss next to her mouth and ran off saying, ‘what a cute baby,'” she wrote.
When she could have acted out, the actress maintained calm. “This woman lives in an elite building and was in the garden where my kids were playing. If I wasn’t a star, I would have reacted badly but kept my cool since I didn’t want to make a scene.”
Preity filmed struggling to close her car door while someone said “please” The performer graciously claimed she had a flight but a wheelchair-bound person persisted appealing for money. He pounded, shouted, and pursued the car.
She said she assisted him for years. Second incidence. This disabled man blocked me from boarding a plane. I’ve helped him. “Sorry, today I have no cash, just a credit card.” I said as he begged again. She gave him money. He threw it back. “He followed us and became more aggressive.” she wrote.
Preity disappointed that no one helped her and her daughter but found the spectacle funny. Photographers laughed. Recording and laughing instead of helping. Nobody told him not to harass us or follow the car. I caused accidents. Celebrity questioned. She added Bollywood blamed and negativity circulated.
The Kal Ho Naa Ho actress wanted to be a human, then a mother, then a star. It’s time people realised I’m a human first, then a mum, then a star. “I’ve worked hard to get where I am, so I don’t need to apologise for my success or be bullied for it,” she said. Entitled to reside in this country. Stop blaming celebrities and think before judging. Every story’s two-sided.”
Preity decided not to photograph or handle her children. “Most importantly, my children are NOT part of a package offer. They are not meant to be preyed on, so please leave my kids alone and don’t come to them for photos or touch/grab them. “They’re babies, not celebrities,” she stated. The actor recommended photographers to assist rather than record in the future.
Preity, Gene Goodenough, and Gia and Jai live in Los Angeles.
