On Saturday, a new audio clip appeared that supposedly includes Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid and Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar. This is the latest in a long series of audio leaks.
The audio leak happened a day after the Supreme Court put the cop back in his job as CCPO of Lahore and stopped the Punjab caretaker government from transferring him.
A second voice of a man, thought to be Dogar, is heard asking a woman, thought to be Rashid, how he is and if he is okay. The man says that everything is fine.
The woman then asks if there is any “good news” and if the “order” has been placed. Dogar tells her that the orders have not been received yet.
She says that all she wants to know is “their intention is” She seems to be talking about PTI Chairman Imran Khan when she says that he was “concerned” about Dogar’s return.
The man tells the woman that his “man [sitting] at the apex court”
Here is how the rest of the conversation went:
Yasmin: ‘I said… I said that my reports show that he hasn’t gotten any orders yet.
Dogar: “Yes, but not yet. It will come at night, after we sign. The mail will come.”
Yasmin: “Will the night be quiet? I’m just asking […]’.
Dogar: ‘Yes, Allah will do better’.
Yasmin: “I said I asked you a hard question as soon as I got there.”
Both people said goodbye at the end of the conversation.
