KARACHI: Nida Yasir, a well-known morning show host and actor, talked about the important things she has learned in her work and personal life.
During the episode of the Hafiz Ahmed Podcast, Nida and Hafiz had a very honest conversation about her life as a singer, TV show host, and wife.
Nida talked about why she thinks marriages last less time these days. She said that “lack of tolerance” was one of the main reasons why marriages fail.
“People are less tolerant. People are more aware of their rights and know what they are. “When they mistreated, they don’t try to make things right,” she said.
Nida also said that recognising the legal and divine right to divorce is important, but it shouldn’t make people rush to end their marriages when there are problems that can be fixed by working together.
“Just because you agree on some things doesn’t mean you’re no longer together. “Just because people are more aware of their rights doesn’t mean that God has approved of separation,” she said.
During her conversation, Nida didn’t say what she thought about the pros and cons of divorce or how easy it is to get. Instead, she gave examples of how divorce “used” as a quick fix without addressing “actual” problems.
“When you’ve made a promise and God has brought you together through marriage, you have to stick with it,” Nida said.
Nida also talked about what she had learned from her own marriage. She said that disagreements are a normal part of marriage, no matter how big or small, and that every disagreement has an answer.
Nida has been married to actor and director Yasir Nawaz for more than ten years. They have three children together.
