Webdesk: The creators of ChatGPT, OpenAI, will release tools to give users more control over the generative AI system. Meanwhile, they will also improve the models for general and specific use cases, according to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
Altman told investors at a Morgan Stanley conference that the AI company will concentrate on building a platform that sells APIs to third parties and develops killer applications such as ChatGPT.
Since its launch in November, ChatGPT’s popularity has skyrocketed. Its site traffic surpassed 1 billion visits, up from 616 million in January, as estimated by Similarweb. OpenAI has introduced a ChatGPT subscription tier in which users can pay $20 per month for more reliable services.
According to Altman, the Microsoft-backed company is working with enterprise clients to train its models in specific domains. It has effectively reduced hallucinations, instances in which an AI system confidently provides an incorrect response.
Bain & Company, a management consulting firm, has formed a global services partnership with OpenAI, allowing it to integrate artificial intelligence into its client operations.
OpenAI partners can use their data and create a copy of the model to alleviate data security concerns.
