Webdesk: The government intends to develop a 10-year plan for accelerating Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in the business. As well as in development, governance, education, and healthcare sectors.
In this regard, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal established a fifteen-member national task force on artificial intelligence for national development.
The task force will consist of artificial intelligence specialists and government and private sector representatives.
Iqbal stated that AI would bring revolutionary changes to the disciplines of economics, government, and education.
The objective of the task force is to harness the power of artificial intelligence for Pakistan’s development and growth. While, ensuring that the benefits are accessible to all segments of society.
Establishing a national task force on Artificial Intelligence is part of the government’s commitment to AI. As well as its potential to positively transform the country’s economic landscape.
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government established a national centre for AI in 2018, according to the minister of planning, who added that Pakistan can unlock new growth and development opportunities and better the lives of its citizens by investing in this field.
He emphasised the importance of AI in propelling Pakistan’s economic growth and development. The minister stated that the incorporation of artificial intelligence into our governance, healthcare, and education systems has the potential to revolutionise these fields and produce significant progress.
Iqbal argued that AI can provide previously inaccessible solutions, ranging from the enhancement of learning experiences to the improvement of decision-making processes.
