Pakistan has called for global action against the illegal weapons seized by terrorist groups in Afghanistan, which were left behind by the U.S. These weapons are being used against Pakistani citizens and military forces.
In a session of the United Nations Security Council’s Arya Formula meeting, Pakistan expressed deep concern over terrorist groups, including the Baloch Liberation Army, the Mejid Brigade, and the banned TTP, gaining access to advanced and deadly illegal weapons.
Pakistan’s consul at the UN, Syed Atif Raza, highlighted that these weapons, worth billions of dollars, are now in the hands of these groups, who are using them against Pakistan’s citizens and armed forces. Additionally, these terrorist organizations are receiving external support and funding from hostile countries.
