Lahore: PM Shehbaz stated the previous prime minister was detained for “corruption and abuse of powers”.
The premier told Haber Global, a Turkish TV channel, that combined investment and enterprises would be “a win win” for Pakistan and Turkey.
He said the two countries might reach a $5 billion bilateral commerce target in three years.
The premier added that solar and hydro power generation in Pakistan had enormous potential for Turkish investors.
“As Pakistani prime minister, I will assist Turkish investors. He continued, “The two countries can make this wonderful journey more successful.”
The premier believed Turkey’s sectors might contribute to these Pakistani regions.
“Our labour is more skilled and if they have Turkish investment, it will be a well combination, thus opening vistas of opportunities for joint ventures,” he added.
PM Shehbaz replied that the train network between Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey may be crucial and needed improvement.
He believed it would lower shipping costs and make their goods more competitive in global markets. His goal was to improve this network.
Moreover, The prime minister congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election, calling him a statesman and politician.
While, The premier said he looked forward to working with president Erdogan to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties.
He called Pakistan-Turkey relations “one soul two hearts” and centuries old.
He stated that Turkey aided Pakistan during floods and earthquakes.
Pakistani regimes, regardless of party, supported their Turkish brothers and sisters. Turkey had one political party.
“This is our journey and we hope to achieve our mission through hard work and sincerity of purpose,” he said.
