Webdesk: Even though he said he would there earlier this month, Prince Harry might not go to the coronation of his father, King Charles, according to The Mail on Sunday.
The outlet says that royal staff who are helping to plan the big event are still “in the dark” about the Duke of Sussex’s final plans about whether or not he will attend.
“They don’t know when he’ll get there, where he’s staying, or if he’s happy with where he’ll be sitting in the Abbey,” the news source said.
A source close to the situation said, “He (Prince Harry) has not been responding in any way other than “We acknowledge your email.” It’s like trying to talk to Mars. Sinn Fein were easier to deal with.”
“Harry seems to be taking a High Noon approach, making everyone nervous about what he will do next,” the insider said. Others are not as sure as the Royals that he will show up.
This comes after Prince Harry told the Buckingham Palace earlier this month that he will at the coronation. His response came fashionably late, well after the RSVP deadline.
A statement from the Palace said, “Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey.”
It’s important to note that Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and his children, Archie and Lilibet, will not go to the UK for the Coronation.
