Islamabad:
A record number of Pakistani doctors have secured residency in the United States in a single year.
According to Dr. Rizwan Taj, the President of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), this is the highest number of Pakistani doctors ever to obtain U.S. residency.
Dr. Rizwan Taj expressed that this achievement reflects the high standards of Pakistani medical education, stating that the success of 1,061 doctors is a moment of immense joy and pride.
He further stated that the rigorous standards and curriculum have paved the way for Pakistani doctors on the global stage. After successfully passing the USMLE, interviews, and challenging stages, these doctors have made their mark.
Dr. Rizwan Taj emphasized that PMDC’s vision is to train healthcare professionals of international standards. The success of Pakistani doctors will play a crucial role in contributing to the global health system.
A large number of students from King Edward Medical College, Dow Medical College, and Allama Iqbal Medical College have succeeded in securing US residency.
