As reported by the Insider, this year’s A-lister bubbly, Fleur de Miraval, was the result of a “meeting of minds” between Pitt and the Perrin family. According to a press release, Pitt and the Perrin family have been working together since Pitt and Jolie ran their Chateau Miraval estate together.
But the choice of a wine with ties to the Bullet Train star has raised eyebrows because Hollywood has been trying to deal with abuse in the film industry recently.
Jolie sold her share in Chateau Miraval in 2021. She said in a court filing that she had refused to sell it to her ex-husband because he allegedly wanted her to sign a nondisclosure agreement that would have stopped her from talking outside of court about Pitt’s physical and emotional abuse of her and their children.
My ex-husband was verbally and physically abusive, said Jolie in court. She said that he choked and hit their children on a flight in 2016, the year she filed for divorce.
While the FBI looked into the claims, Pitt has denied them, and he has not been charged with a crime.
