Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan was injured during an intense action sequence on the set of his upcoming film King in Mumbai. The injury, reportedly to his back, occurred as the actor opted to perform a stunt himself. Although the injury is not deemed critical, doctors have advised at least a month of rest, prompting a temporary halt to the film’s shooting schedule.
This isn’t the first time Shah Rukh has faced an on-set injury — in 2017, he suffered a neck injury during the filming of Zero, which also required treatment in the US.
King is a high-profile project now directed by Siddharth Anand, and marks the acting debut of Shah Rukh’s daughter Suhana Khan. Actor Abhishek Bachchan also plays a pivotal role in the film. It’s expected to portray an emotional father-daughter dynamic, adding depth to its action-packed narrative.
Fans are praying for Shah Rukh’s speedy recovery. Despite the delay, producers aim to stick to the planned early 2026 release, keeping hopes high for yet another box office hit from the Bollywood king.
