WEBDESK: Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi posted a picture of himself as a young boy on Instagram. He did this to remember the first time he played cricket.
The speedster wrote on the photo and video-sharing app, “There comes a moment in life that changes you.
“Cricket is my life, and this is the day I started from scratch, which was the best day of my life.”
“When you are at Zero, you have the hunger, the will, and the passion to do so much more. To never give up!” said the 23-year-old cricketer, who joined the national team when he was only 18 years old.
The young player is playing against New Zealand right now in Rawalpindi as part of a five-game home series. But, because of an injury, the pacer didn’t play in the second ODI. Instead, Ihsanullah took his place.
The Green Shirts beat the Black Caps in the first ODI on Thursday by five wickets, and they beat them again in the second ODI in Rawalpindi on Saturday by seven wickets. Fakhar Zaman’s centuries helped the Green Shirts win both games.
The other games in this series are on May 3, 5, and 7 in Karachi.
