The ISPR stated that the military leadership had emphasised the need to adopt a “whole of nation”. As well as “whole of government” strategy to “eradicate the menace of terrorism.”
The 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference presided over by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir. It took place at GHQ and reviewed the domestic and international situation, including Pakistan’s challenges with internal and external security.
The meeting reaffirmed the military’s resolve to ‘completely support national responses’ against threats. It argued that while security forces conducting intelligence-based operations in regions close to the western border. The country and government needed to take a strategy that would help put an end to terrorism.
Moreover, It went on to say that the comprehensive, government-approved concentrated counterterrorism campaign would help to eradicate terrorism, extremism, and instability in the nation.
The ISPR said, “The forum also expressed its ‘assurance’ to pursue the goals set by the National Security Council to reverse the tide against terrorism through the coordinated application of all elements of national power.”
It stated that the military leadership was aware of all the issues and resolved to carry out its constitutionally assigned duties with the help of the tenacious people of Pakistan.
