Webdesk: Twitter will begin removing old blue checkmarks from its platform for individuals and organisations on April 1.
Individuals that desire a blue checkmark on their profiles can subscribe to Twitter Blue for $8 per month. In addition to the blue checkmark, users will be able to view less advertisements, save folders as bookmarks, compose lengthy tweets, modify tweets, and undo tweets.
Users can purchase additional badges or checkmarks that indicate their account type in addition to the blue check.
Traditionally, a blue tick indicated the validity and certification of an individual or account. But, after Elon Musk’s takeover, anyone might receive a blue tick, producing havoc on the network.
