Webdesk: WaBetaInfo said that WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, announced on Saturday that it was adding a feature that lets users share their screens during video talks.
The app-tracking website says that the feature is available to some beta users and will be made available to more people in the next few weeks.
The update was sent to the TestFlight beta Programme by the instant chat app, bringing the version number to 23.12.0.74.
With this tool, people on a video call would be able to show the other person what’s on their screen. This would help them work together, show how to do different jobs or solve problems from a distance.
During a video call, those who have this function will see a new icon at the bottom. Users will be able to share what’s on their screen with everyone else on the same call with them.
The alerts and everything else on the screen would be visible to others. It will be recorded, and then everyone on the video call will get to see it.
“In this case, it’s best to turn on ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode (or your preferred focus mode) to avoid getting notifications when you don’t want them,” the WhatsApp watcher said.
Users have control over this function because they can stop the video whenever they want. Also, they won’t share the information until you give them permission to do so.
This feature will work for iOS users who run the most recent beta version.
