Webdesk: Malala Yousafzai wants to buy a team in Pakistan’s first women’s cricket league.
The 25-year-old campaigner is a writer, film producer, and activist for girls’ education.
Sources say Malala has asked about the women’s league’s October bidding procedure.
So, she has approached the PCB management committee about the women’s league. Malala’s spouse Asser Malik also worked for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate will likely bid for a women’s league club. She also expressed interest in the women’s league to former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.
In October 2018, Ramiz, the chairman, launched “The Women’s League” at the inaugural Pakistan Junior League (PJL) opening ceremony. Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 coincided with the competition.
The PCB management committee delayed the women’s league until October.
