Pakistani chef Fatima Ali gets second James Beard Award posthumously

Webdesk: Fatima Ali, a Pakistani-American chef who died in 2019 after a long fight with cancer, has been given a James Beard Award for the second time after she died.

Ali was the daughter of Ashtar Ausaf Ali, who was Pakistan’s former attorney general. Fatima, known for her successful appearances on the reality cooking shows Chopped and Top Chef and for getting a James Beard Foundation Award for her essay on living with sarcoma.

While, She wrote a book called Savor, A Chef’s Hunger for More on her deathbed. After she died, her writing released, and in a short time, it became well-known in the world of writing.

Moreover, On Saturday, she given her second James Beard Award at an event in Chicago, United States, that was full of famous chefs. This was a huge honor for her and for Pakistan.

“She lives even in death. “Her accomplishments well known, and her most recent book will be around long after we are all gone,” her father said in a statement.

“While we’re sad about her death, we should be proud of her life and what she did,” he said.

Ali, who moved to New York at age 18 and became famous on Bravo’s Top Chef, finished seventh in season 15 but won the Fan Favorite title when the season ended early last year. Moreover, People liked her “fun personality and excellent cooking” of food.
