NCA case: NAB questions PTI chairman for 4 hours.

Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: For four hours on Thursday, a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team questioned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan about the notorious £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) UK settlement case.

The group sent out a questionnaire and asked for answers that were backed up by documents.

Sources say that the group asked a wide range of questions about the case. Such as about money transfers, cabinet clearance, land given to the Al-Qadir Trust, and a list of donations.

Also, they asked if the summary was kept secret and if the government approved it without any discussion.

The Chairman of the PTI told NAB that Shahzad Akbar was in charge of the whole process with the NCA.

Khan said he didn’t take part in the process directly because he only heard about it.

The head of the PTI said that Akbar should called back from London so that more questions could be asked.

He said the property mogul was spiritually moved by the mission of the Al-Qadir University Trust. It had given the land for the university to be built.

Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were both called to appear before the NAB on June 7, but they asked to move the date.

The NAB team changed the date of the PTI leader’s hearing to June 8, and Bushra Bibi was given a hearing date of June 13.
