Lahore. Husnain Chaudhary: In a startling turn of events, numerous female colleagues have accused Rawalpindi SSP Aamir Khan Niazi of harassment and corruption. The claims have shaken Punjab Police and garnered global attention.

SSP Aamir Khan Niazi accused of receiving payments to give illicit businesses safe-conduct passes, according to trustworthy sources. He also allegedly harassed his PSP (Punjab Police Service) female coworkers.

The Punjab Inspector General (IG) has sent SSP Aamir Khan Niazi to the Closed Central Police Office in Lahore for further investigation. The senior officer’s serious claims prompted this decision.

DIG Muhammad Idris leads a high-level group to ensure a fair investigation. The committee is questioning and recording the complainants and other police in the RPO (Regional Police Officer) headquarters.

The committee is probing harassment and corruption charges that have shaken the Rawalpindi Police Department. The complainants, including the female PSP officers who spoke out against SSP Aamir Khan Niazi, were allowed to speak.

The committee also summoned former SHO SI Habib, accused of taking bribes from SSP Aamir Niazi. Additional officers and clerks may implicated in these alleged fraudulent practises.

IG Punjab ordered the inquiry committee to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice. It seeks to prove the claims and punish the guilty.

Moreover, This incident shows the urgent need for a strong mechanism to avoid harassment and corruption in law enforcement. While, The Punjab Police and Rawalpindi Police are under pressure to create a secure and respectful workplace for personnel.

SSP Aamir Khan Niazi’s case will surely affect the Rawalpindi Police Department’s credibility and operations. The probe should lead to major reforms in the department’s processes to prevent such incidents.

The public anxiously awaits the committee’s findings, believing justice will done and the Rawalpindi Police Department’s faith and integrity restored.
