Webdesk: Steven Soderbergh revealed that he lobbied Warner Bros. for Christopher Nolan to direct Insomnia. Steven promotes Gen-Z.
He recalled that Warner Bros. exec didn’t like Nolan’s Momento, so he wouldn’t meet with him about directing Insomia.
Steven told Rolling Stone that Nolan’s aide Dan called him to say that Chris was interested in Insomnia’s script at Warner Bros. but their execs wouldn’t meet.
Variety claims that the director personally requested the meeting with Nolan from Warner Bros.
Adding, “I knew Chris well enough to know that if he gets in the room, he’s going to get that job.”
