Islamabad: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the country’s new care taker prime minister, has thanked everyone who supported his nomination for the important job of overseeing the country’s upcoming general elections.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday said that Kakar chosen as the caretaker prime minister.
The decision made during the second round of talks between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Raja Riaz, who was the leader of the opposition in the outgoing National Assembly. President Arif Alvi accepted a summary of these talks under Article 224 1A.
The leader of the opposition came up with the name of the BAP member. Riaz said that he suggested Kakar’s name because he was from a smaller area and didn’t have a bad reputation.
Politicians from both parties happy about the decision. They hoped that the interim PM would make sure that the country’s elections were fair and free.
“I’m grateful to God for giving me the chance to help the people of Pakistan. The temporary PM-designate said on his X handle, which used to be called Twitter. “I’m also grateful to everyone who has put their faith in me to lead the country.”
“I want everyone to pray that Allah gives me the strength to take care of my responsibilities as I should,” he said.
