TikTok has introduced further improvements to its Family Pairing feature, designed to help families promote healthy digital habits among young users. These updates are part of TikTok’s commitment to online safety, giving parents better control and encouraging responsible screen time for teen users.
The latest updates include the following:
- Time Away Scheduling: Parents can now set customized screen-free periods (such as school hours, bedtime, weekends). While teens can request extra time, the final approval remains with the parents.
- Teen Network Visibility: Parents can now see whom their teen follows, who follows them, and which accounts they have blocked. This feature fosters regular discussions about online interactions.
- Active Reporting Alerts: When a teen reports content that violates TikTok’s community guidelines, they will soon have the option to alert a trusted adult, even if Family Pairing is not enabled.
With these updates, Family Pairing now offers parents over 15 customizable safety, privacy, and well-being features tailored to their teen’s experience on TikTok.
