Will Hail Strike Islamabad Again? Met Office Issues New Alert

Following an intense hailstorm in Islamabad, the Meteorological Department has warned that similar events could reoccur in the coming days.

Yesterday’s unexpected weather shift brought heavy hail to Islamabad and nearby areas, damaging hundreds of vehicles and partially affecting landmarks like Faisal Mosque.

Experts say these extreme events are linked to climate change and rapid shifts in seasonal patterns. The size and intensity of the hailstones were unprecedented, leaving roads and parks covered in white.

The Met Office has also warned of an upcoming heatwave, indicating more unpredictable weather ahead.
